The text here is revised from the original postings on the old mailing lists and my website. While not complete fluff, I opted to write these stories with a lighter touch than the path Season Six follow and this series diverges from the show following the episode "Hell's Bells."

The piece was written as part of my "Word of the Day" series, writing a ficlet based on whatever word Dictionary.com threw up that day. It's also part of my Seven Years in the Desert-verse, and is set sometime late in 2003, after Giles, Anya and Spike have moved to London
